Meet our founder, Molly
I’m Molly Slater-Davison, the founder of These Girls Run! I set up TGR at the end of 2021, as a very casual Sunday run club in York (always finishing with coffee!). I was craving a safe and supportive group to run with, but didn’t feel like I fitted in with a lot of the run clubs I found online. Having never actually been to a run club myself, I decided to set my own up!
Our casual York Sunday morning runs turned into weeknight runs too. I then moved to London for work and HAD to take TGR down with me! 2023 was really our year, we went from 2 locations in April (York and London) to now over 10 locations all across the UK. I feel very grateful that I’ve been able to build a business and meet some of my lifelong friends through TGR!
Outside of TGR, I love spending time outdoors, catch ups with the girls, chilling on the sofa with Dom and hunting down little bits for my house and wardrobe!
Myself and the TGR Ambassadors want to make sure that everyone who joins us is safe and happy - we can’t wait to meet you x
Safe, Sweaty and Supportive is at the heart of everything we do.
Running can feel like such a daunting and competitive sport, can’t it - especially when you add on the inequality in sports education and opportunities for us girls (young and older), as well as the prevalence of violence against women that still exists in our society. I didn’t feel safe running on my own, and it was damaging the amazing mental and physical health benefits I know it can bring.
TGR exists to be your Safe, Sweaty, Supportive space. We’re here to run with you, cheer you on, give advice and support and form amazing sisterhoods across the UK. When you join a TGR community - on CLIQ or in person - you’re never left alone.
Every TGR run is specifically developed with you in mind; we have TGR Ambassadors at the front, middle and back of every run to make sure that all abilities are catered for - we run together x
Meet Bronagh
Bronagh is our Head of Communities and Brand Assistant. Basically the mother of all TGR cities, our all-rounder gal and life saver. Bronagh and I have travelled up and down the country launching TGR, sent voice notes to eachother pretty much everyday since she joined the team in June 2023 and are generally lost when eachother isn’t around!
